Alongside thee most excellent Digging With Divine, we are absolutely buzzing to be hosting a rare Scottish appearance by DJ Food aka Strictly Kev aka Kevin Foakes. Best known for his production work on the classic Ninja Tune albums Recipe For Disaster (1995) and Kaleidoscope (2000), Strictly Kev is an in-demand producer, remixer, graphic designer, compiler and avid record collector.

He recently curated the acclaimed Telepathic Fish compilation, celebrating the early ‘90s London-based ambient club he co-founded. For this night, he’ll be digging deep in his crates and spinning a full-on dance 45 vinyl set of house, techno, rave, drum’n’bass and more…

Also on the bill is a live set by ambient duo Spacial Awareness. Chris Geddes and Dave McGowan formed the side-project in 1995 during down-time from their day jobs in Belle & Sebastian. Fusing analogue synths and pedal steel guitar, they create an experimental soundscape with nods to Kosmiche Musik (like Cluster and Tangerine Dream) and echoes of Brian Eno’s classic Apollo.

The night kicks off by local veteran and McChuills resident vinyl guru Andrew Divine while in the bar we have a full four-hour set from DJ Nic Goodlife who’ll be spinning from her extensive collection of soul, funk and breaks 45s.
