The story of We Love 45s began in Glasgow, where the very first event took place in August 2021, under the lingering shadow of COVID restrictions. Despite the challenges, DJs came together for the Sunday 7’s session at Some Great Reward Record Shop. The event was broadcast simultaneously on Twitch and Radio Buena Vida, and organised in collaboration with WeeG. What started as a cautious return to live events marked the beginning of a growing community built around 7” vinyl.

Now We 45’s has grown into a worldwide movement with over 35 cities from London, to Amsterdam, Panama to Australia, we’ve taken 7 inch vinyl events to over 30 cities worldwide…and we’re only just getting started.

We 45’s Glasgow has gone from strength to strength each year and has now found its spiritual home at McChuills who hosts its 3rd annual event on the 29th Aug 2036 with djs @Saltyoldvinyl (We 45’s York) @DjKrashSlaughter, Colin Millar(Headspin Edinburgh), weeG (SouthsideSoundSurgeons) Si Cheeba (echochamberrecordings), @nicgoodlife, @frankimcgraw @pedroverde(gl45sGows)

We Love 45s in Glasgow is about more than individual events, it’s about long term community, shared culture, and celebrating 7” vinyl through consistent, inclusive gatherings.
